In Home Concentrator
Oxygen Concentrators supply oxygen for patients while they are home.  Oxygen concentrators run off electricity and are capable of constantly supplying the patient with a continuous flow of Oxygen. The concentrators Mountaineer Home Medical supplies patients with are quiet and energy efficient. Concentrators never run out of Oxygen. As long as there is a power supply the concentrator will put out a high concentration of Oxygen. 

Portable Oxygen
Oxygen Tanks are used to provide oxygen when the patient needs to leave the home. Whether it is to go to the grocery store or a Doctors appointment, small lightweight tanks used in conjunction with an oxygen conserving device allow for hours of time away from home.  There are several different size tanks to choose from. The smaller the tank the less oxygen the tank can hold. In order to make the supply of oxygen in small tank last longer the tank is used with a conserving device. There are two types of conserving devices, a pneumatic and an electric. Each conserver delivers oxygen to the patient “on demand.” “On demand” means that oxygen will be delivered during inspiration. Since the oxygen is only delivered during inspiration, and not continuously, the oxygen in the tank is conserved and therefore the tank will last longer. The average weight for a small oxygen tank and conserving device is around 4 pounds. Each tank comes with a couple of options for transporting. The patient can either use a carrying case to carry the oxygen tank or a pull cart to pull the cart along with them.

Specialized Portable Oxygen Program
At Mountaineer Home Medical we work with our patients to enable them to have an adequate supply of portable oxygen tanks on hand to be used at their convenience. The way Mountaineer Home Medical does this is by delivering tanks to the patients home upon request by the patient.  In other words, when a patient is running low on full oxygen tanks they simply call Mountaineer Home Medical and we guarantee deliver of their requested tanks within 24 hours. We do not put patient on a routing system. Secondly, Mountaineer Home Medical will give the patient a big enough supply of tanks to meet the needs of each individual patient.

Portable Concentrator
A portable oxygen concentrator works the same way the in home concentrator does except, with the addition of a battery and AC/DC adapter. The portable concentrator allows for patients to have even more time away from home without the fear of running out of oxygen. A portable oxygen concentrator is available for the patients of Mountaineer Home Medical to use for overnight visits, weekend getaways, or vacation.

Home Fill Oxygen System
Mountaineer Home Medical can supply patients with a Home Fill Oxygen system. The Home Fill system gives patients the ability to fill their own oxygen tanks at home. The Fill System comes with an oxygen concentrator for in home use. The concentrator for use in the patients home provides the patient with the same advantages as listed above. In addition to providing oxygen for in home use, the Home Fill System allows patients to fill and refill portable oxygen tanks in their own home at their own convenience. The Home Fill System gives a patient the freedom from having to have tanks delivered to them.

Mountaineer Home Medical keeps in stock numerous styles, types, and brands of Nasal Cannulas. Some different types of NCs that we stock are Soft tip cannulas, micro cannulas, pediatric and infant cannulas, high flow cannulas all made from various manufactures such as Salter, Medline, Invacare, Cardinal Health. We also carry other oxygen delivery devices such as Oxygen Masks and Tracheostomy Masks.

If a patient of Mountaineer Home Medical requests a specific type or brand of Nasal Cannula or other Oxygen delivery device we will get that particular type or brand for our patient.
